The Andhra Pradesh SpaceTech Academy, (APSA), Amaravati, was established on 22nd August 2025, during the National Space Day Celebrations, with enthusiastic participation from academia and industry.
APSA is the first State-level SpaceTech Academy in Andhra Pradesh, founded with a vision to advance space sciences and nurture the next generation of scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs—driving the State towards Swarna Andhra Pradesh and an Viksit Bharat, 2047.
To establish Andhra Pradesh as a hub of excellence in space science and technology, nurturing skilled talent, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable growth— paving the way for a self-reliant and globally competitive SpaceTech ecosystem that contributes to the realization of Swarna Andhra Pradesh and Viksit Bharat 2047.
> To empower and inspire the next generation of space professionals through hands-on education and training in space sciences, engineering, and applications;
> To foster innovation and entrepreneurship for the emerging global space economy, and
>To build a dynamic bridge between academia, industry, and government, advancing space technology for national development and global leadership.
To impart training and mentorship in the core areas of:
1.Space Engineering & Rocketry – Launch vehicle systems, propulsion, structures, avionics.
2. Satellite Technology – CubeSats, communication, navigation, Earth observation satellites.
3. Astronomy & Planetary Sciences – Observational astronomy, astrobiology, planetary geology.
4. Space Applications – Satellite-based communication, disaster management, precision agriculture.
5. Human Spaceflight & Exploration – Astronaut training, life support systems, space medicine.
6. Space Biology – Astrobiology, Bioastronautics, Space Bioprocess Engineering,
6. Entrepreneurship & Space Policy – Space law, global cooperation, startup incubation.
